The balusters and handrail on this stairway had worn finishes and needed a little help. We used the same process here as on the front door in terms of the finish. No wood was replaced and no sanding was needed. This process works very well if you are willing to go with a darker stain. For a lighter look, complete sanding to the raw wood is required.
