First install tyvek or a like material on the sheathing of the house. Then install DuPont Flex Wrap at least 12" up the sides and across the sill to seal the corners. Apply a bead of caulk around the edge of the window on the Tyvek. The caulk will perform as a seal between the nailing fin of the window and the Tyvek. This is a great line of defense against moisture. Instal the window and check for square and level Flash the exterior of the window with a sealing tape on the jambs first, then the header. Do not seal the bottom of the window by any means. If water gets in, and it will, it needs a way out This is your finished window.
